A friend got these. This is the only photo I have. The Canadian labels make me think they are legit but I thought there are 3 rows of squares above "Cohiba", not 2 on the new labels.

Take a look and let me know what you think.

The original bands said La Habana, these only say Habana. The original bands had 2 rows and the new ones have 3. However, people have said that the skinny ring gauges have 2 rows sometimes. I really don't know and I was hoping to hear from an expert.

Going by what I'm seeing from this as a reference: http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/brand.aspx?brand=cohiba

The band with 2 dots was discontinued in 2003. Is there a date code on the back of those?

Also the 2 dot band was non embossed and this one looks like it is.

Like everyone else, I'm no expert and a pic of the entire band would be helpful, but I'm leaning towards fake right now.

Looks like there is a 3rd row of dots cut off by Cohiba.... Going fake on this one

The troubling thing to me is that someone took the time to put that ugly sticker on a box of counterfeits.

As far as small ring gauge goes never seen any with 2 rows of dots. Sloppy bands seem more common in small RGs and so do band misprints (the whole band will be shifted in this case).

My advice is cut one and smoke one. Smoke first so you don't change your mind after nail clippings and spider eggs fall out.

They aren't mine. Some one I know posted a pic on facebook and I wanted to get the expert opinion before I warned them that they might be smoking pub hairs and floor scraps...

no way to tell from existing photo,as usual the most telling bits are hidden.
the color of the band and box look off,but one cannot really tell from this pic.

I'm leaning towards real with a label anomaly. Hard to say though.

The warning label is consistent with the time period of the band.

There isn't a third cutoff row of dots, that's glare from the gold line around Cohiba. There should be a third row of dots above though.

It's either cuba being cuba, or a fake cigar ontop of a real box. Who knows.

Those damn Facebook guys....

I'm no expert, but i think what everybody may be overlooking is that these don't appear to be CCE size, but rather Cohiba Panatelas which are 33RG. Also appears to have the same band(and amount of squares including the strange variation above the gold band) as the picture on CCW. Given the tax stamps and labeling mixed with this i would lean real, but like any fake/real argument from newb central C2 or wherever, i would want more pics and more importantly know who/which/what vendor they came from.

Even Cohiba bands can vary from what ive seen and from what you can see on CCW pics of each cigar. Compare bands on Siglo IV and Cohiba Robusto on their website. Cutoff white boxes?!? Must be fake....at least so said the C2hurtlocker last time i saw those clowns throw up a debate.

Thanks for the info. My wife's cousin posted them on her wall (not C2 or any group). I have no idea where she got them nor did I ask for more pictures. I was just interested in what everyone thought but it seems the result of this thread is that no one is sure with the given pic. I am going to put this to bed. I'm not going to say anything to her about them. I was only concerned because of the horror stories you read about the fillers inside fakes.

Thank you everyone for the feedback.
