I'm going tomorrow to see about having an aristocrat built. I'd like to hear from those that own one, what feature(s) are a must have, what would you do differently if you did it again, and which features/upgrades are not worth it for whatever reason. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

All shelves should be pull out shelves, makes getting to everything in the back MUCH easier.

One singles drawer is plenty unless you have a CRAZY amount of singles.

Those would be my two must haves, I live in Chicago so I didn't bother with temperature control.

a recent owner myself - (bought used)
I will mirror the pull-out drawers - soooo much easier to get to what you want when you want it.
Mine is in the basement so no need for the temp control either, but if in Texas, might be good to get

Temp control and pull out shelves are a must for me as well. I'd like more circulation fans in mine but it's really just need being nerdy. Also love the book matched mahogany doors on mine ... Classy! Hands down the best cigar related purchase I've ever made. I have the mxthc 26.

Thank you all for the suggestions. Spent over an hour with Bob today touring the shop, and coming up with a design. Looks like I'm going with a M Plus THC cabinet. Still finalizing finishing touches, and then the wait begins. The good news is that full length extension shelves and drawers are standard. A few upgrades I've gone with so far are:
Upgraded to 25" depth
Raised panel doors
Top crown molding

Still deciding on inlay top, additional fans behind each shelf, color, and different door panels. If you have any other suggestions/recommendations, please let me know. Any pics would be helpful as well. I know there's plenty on the website, but more cant hurt.

Does anyone have an aristocrat in black walnut? That's the color I'm really leaning towards, and I'd like to see some more pictures than what's listed on Bob's website. Thanks

I just had mine delivered in April. Its the exact same one that you're considering. Absolutely love it.
Instead of the Red Mahogany I went with the Black Walnut. If you ask Bob he will send you color samples. I went with the THC because it's summer here in Texas 9 months out of the year. If you PM your phone number I will text you some pics.

Big big big! Just spend the extra jack on it now. I had an mtx+ when they first came out. He didn't offer temp control or I would have gone that route...same with pull out shelf space. in the end I just built a 640 cubic foot climate controlled walk in humidor and was done worrying about storage ;)

Bobs product is first class!

Black Walnut -

Stained (medium dark walnut) -

Finished -

Your stain choice will have the greatest impact on final aesthetic, wood specie selection is more about grain and janka.
