I've never seen it, and I'm in the Air Force. It will get better goose. I read a quote once, "women are like monkeys, they don't let go of one branch until they have a firm grip on the next." And I hate that about them. They'd rather be with someone they aren't truly in love with than to be alone. That's weakness if you ask me! Be single for a while, goose. And by God be good at it.

I shouldn't generalize like that. I'm sure there's men who do this to. In psychology, we call it serial monogamy. And it is absolutely the norm of our culture.

I met and married a gal from Phoenix. I packed up and moved out there, where we lived. Matter 3.5 years she decided she had married too young (19, so she probably did) and we divorced. I moved away from the valley and about 2 years later I married my wife of almost 38 years. Looking back one of the best things to ever happen in my life was my first wife wanting a divorce. So what I am trying to say is it's just a bump in this thing we call life. And who knows how awesome your future may be?

The 2 times in my life that seemed so terrible, turned out to be the best things that have happened to me and that's 100% truth.

Just catching up here, I'm sorry this is happening to you. Don't let your emotions gets the best of you. You'll probably have those off days but surround yourself with friends and family and BOTL of course. Remember, you'll always have a home here and someone to hear you out, just as we are doing now. Hang in there brother!

Thanks man,
I can't tell you how much I appreciate this sudden outpouring of support. I hate to complain so I was very hesitant to post this thread, but I'm glad I did.
Thanks everyone.

Think about this....let's say you married this chickie and had kids with her and then one day she leaves you the "bomb"....wants to leave and go somewhere else to exercise her love for somebody else or just stopped caring for you. You'd be tied to this millstone for the rest of your unnatural life because of kids you had with her...been there done that and the future you could have had w/o all of the drama associated with her wretched story of playing with the kids minds because she doesn't like you now. Not many get second chances in life...as much as it might hurt now you've experienced something that will serve you better in the future...nothing is gained unfortunately except through pain...when was the last time you learned something big without having to deal with the pain of it? We don't skip through life with a song in our hearts and rainbows appearing everyday....we deal with real life and hopefully learn from it. Sometimes when a window is shut a door opens somewhere else and a lot of BOTL have testified to this.

Sorry to hear about it but seems things are already turning around for you! New job, new place to live, and if anything new brothers to meet in SF. Keep your head up and don't let this speed bump keep you distracted for too long. Play the single life for awhile and just enjoy every day. SF should have lots of new and different options for you for sure.
