I attempted to purchase 3 digital hygrometer's from a yahoo store by the name of "The Bargain Store" on the 15th of Jan. On the 21st, after not hearing anything or receieving any tracking information I sent an e-mail to them inquiring as to the status of the order.
After not hearing from them by the 25th I sent a letter informing them that if I did not hear from them as to the status of my order I would report them to Yahoo.

I received an e-mail back stating my cc had not been charge and they were cancelling my order.

I have been going back and forth with Yahoo since... the store told Yahoo that they will sue me for lies and slander as it was only 2 days that passed between the order and my complaint. I JUST sent Yahoo the proof that it was in fact almost 10 days from time of order until time of response and cancellation.

What can I do about this store, about Yahoo's lack of concern and this situation as a whole?

I will not let it go... I feel this merchant was dishonest and took my order without even having the product to even send to me and to not even respond was total lack of customer service and even deceitful business practices.

Any suggestions?

Well, there are e-tailer ratings websites you can post reviews on. Perhaps report to the BBB. Since you aren't out any dough I don't think that there is much more that you can do.

I would let it go.

There are so many shitty vendors out there that I will only do business with one that I know is good or I have seen many positive reviews.

If your CC is not charged, you made out.

not much you can do. ****** and credit card companies have a loose guideline of shipping within 2 weeks. so really no foul commited besides it being a pain in the ass.

I just got a rectangular one from Mark at cigarmony along with the calibration bag.

I left they hygro in the bag for about 24 hours, noted how far it was off and then adjusted the knob that is on the hygro. I now know it is reading exact.

my solution is to go to the main headquarters. bring along about 10 gallons of gas and a match...... you get my drift.... :assaultri

(not really! i dont want to be considered an accomplice!!)
