If you're just starting out then yeah, it'll do. They're all decent CT wrapped cigars but in churchill size you might get a little bored of the taste. But that's just me and preferring a slightly smaller size.

I am just starting out. I have tried a few sizes and I prefer the ring gauge on the Churchill. I do get bored with them by the end as you said. Good call. I am still trying out as many blends as I can afford to get my hands on. I got these for 3 bucks a piece which seemed reasonable. When I buy singles at the B&M I usually try different vitolas. It's s fun journey. Glad I have people to share it with. I appreciate the insight from all of you.

All the best

Oh for $3 a piece you did alright. I'd say if you got them for $2-3 you are doing fine. CigardBid is one of those sites that has a lot of everything but nothing of really good quality as your tastes grow for something more. When that happens just check out the retail sponsors on the front page.

You'll find the type and strength you're looking for, eventually.

Try going with a robusto (5x50) or toro (6x50) or even a torpedo (6x52) instead of a churchill so maybe you won't grow so bored of the cigars you're trying. Also, the tobacco inside makes a lot of difference. Usually, the more expensive a cigar is, indicates the age, where the tobacco is from, and the house that's blending it together. You'll also find out which qualities you like best from what wrapper, binder, and filler of the cigar you're smoking, and what country those are all from.

What's funny is that most of the cigar brands you like are probably owned by a cigar conglomerate, like Altadis USA, Scandinavian Cigar Group, or Swisher.
