Padilla Vintage Reserve Robusto, " Quite good."View attachment 88027
Looks really nice! I might give it a shot. Haven't given Padilla a chance in a long time because of a long string of disappointments. Last week coworker told me the Miami 8/11 is one of his recent favorites. I might give them a chance with two solid nods to the brand.

Try the " Illumination Lancero" by far better than this, both La Padilla's :sneaky:

Psyko Seven (Robusto)

This cigar interested me because nearly every reviewer had a different take on the profile.

It started off with cedar, black pepper, and toast. Now nearing the half way point it is slightly charred wood, bread, vanilla, almond, and that mossy earth I expect from Pennsylvanian and Pelo de Oro. The ash falls and the mossy earth comes through to really fill out the flavor profile. It gives it a much needed fullness.

It is definitely worth a fiver just to have something different, but I fall a bit shy of calling it a must have. If you like cigars that come from that distinctly Dominican mindset, grab a couple of singles and see what you think.

Edit:
Down to the last 1.5" and the character changes. It isn't so bright and sunny. The Nicaraguan and Sumatra start to really take the lead and add a darker earthy and floral note with oak and a bit of pepper.

Edit 2:
The last inch is all about that beautiful Sumatra. This is probably the best Sumatra taste I've had in a long while. It is floral, bready, and seriously floral with big hits of brown sugar and beautiful dark earth from the Nicaraguan and Oro. It becomes an experience that shouldn't end.

I must say the marketing claims of transitions was spot on for me. I would say this cigar had several "mini transitions" but smoked as two or three completely different cigars.
