Holy Shit I need a lot of practice. Mark, that looks better than a lot of the commercial sticks I've seen!
That's because a true Master crafts... he/she does not create mindlessly :p It's not the quantity of rolls you can produce but rather the quality of the roll in front of you. His stick is a standing ovation! :cigar:

Beautif ui l wrapper but I can't get it to burn.
Some leaves need a seco "jacket liner" between the binder and the wrapper ... most of my sticks have a liner but I double up on the liner when the wrapper is thick so it will properly burn... if the seco is very thin, I won't put any on the filler and allow the volado to do the inner job and reserve all the seco for the liner. Just a tip from someone who knows nothing about nothing :p lol

Basically, you wrap the bunch in a seco leaf? Then wrap?

The seco is not a substitute for the binder... it's not the actual binder... it's a liner like a good jacket has a quality liner between the jacket and the shirt. Bind the bunch as normal... then warp the seco around the binder ... then wrap... Seco becomes a liner between the wrapper and the binder ;)

On my straight ligero blend I've had good luck using seco as a binder. I'm also a little lazy and didn't feel like putting in an extra step. I will have to give this a shot.

It's true... it is an extra step... but then... thick wrappers burn like this three days later. The Thicker the wrapper the more the seco OR Volado... volado especially if you are burning a straight Liegro blend... you can also use both seco and volado interchangeably or together... this will help with the flavor profile slightly... you want to be sure you use the thinest vein section of the seco or volado as possible... I usually cut off the inch closes to the cv... but I know that too is an extra step... gotta ask yourself how bad you want that wrapper :p
