What happens to the cigars?

Ok so morbid thought here, but I had an opportunity to go to a few estate sales in the past few weeks. It got me thinking, what happens to the cigars to the BOTLs and SOTLs that we lose early or to people that move to a new area and give up cigar smoking? I know I have seen a few posted here in the FS section, but have any of you run into a large collection at an estate sale or do you think families that are unaware just end up tossing the stogies, not knowing they could still be worth a significant amount of money?

Do you think auction site like everything but the house and other B&M site restrict the sales of cigars?

I've seen a few cigar collections on Craigslist that looked like an estate sale.. Kinda sucks though, because they were the entire collections, cabinets, humi's, cutters, lighters, etc.. way more than most folks would have to drop at one time on a bunch of randomness.. My wife has instructions to just box it all up and bomb it out to the last 5 people in my notifications list

I've seen it mostly on CL and here when cigars, humis etc go for sale. I haven't really hit the ground running with antique stores, estate or garage sales yet but next year hopefully it'll change a little bit for me.

My local B&M had one a month or so ago. It was a mix of singles and boxes. I assume the store just took a percentage of the sales.
