Booker's Bluegill Creek Batch. Really liking this but don't think I could pay the $100 price point it's heading for.

Love Buffalo Trace. Seems like it's getting harder and harder to find. My local liquor store was sold out, another store close by in the next county had some for like $40 and a one bottle limit so I had to pass.

$40 for a 750ml bottle?! Dayam! I can sometimes get a 1.75L bottle of Buffalo Trace for $40 on a decent sale.
Also found a 1.75L bottle at Costco for $38 here recently as well in Indy, it has not been back on the shelves again though. I really like Buffalo Trace at that price point. It is a cheaper version of Eagle Rare to my unsophisticated palette.
Cheers!

I know right. The county liquor store (all liquor stores where I live are run by the county) don't mark anything up - Buffalo Trace is in the mid $20s, I won a lotto for Old Forester Birthday Bourbon for $79.99. But in the next county I guess stores can set there own prices so they start making you pay a premium for things.

I'm pretty new to bourbon but I'm getting hooked pretty quick. Maybe y'all can push me towards a few new ones I haven't tried yet based on what I have tried and liked?
I enjoy buffalo trace, four roses small batch, four roses single barrel (my favorite so far), basil hayden, bookers, and angels envy. I didn't really enjoy eagle rare as much as these, not sure why. I live in Tennessee so Jack Daniels, George Dickle and Prichards Sweet Lucy have always been staples, but I normally mix these when mowing the yard or something. I'd like to try some new stuff, what do y'all recommend?

@Pipefighter572
Evan Williams single barrel, blantons, Elijah Craig, woodford reserve, bulleit are some i would put on the list. If you like bookers then maybe some barrel proofs from Elijah Craig, makers, and 1792. Also knob single barrel is a good one.
Thanks for the recommendations, I have had a few of these, but not since I have started taking bourbon seriously and not in any quantity to speak of. I will start checking them out. How do you guys normally go about investing in a bottle? Do you try it a few times at a bar first? Or just go ahead and buy a small bottle and see how it turns out? Sorry for the newb questions, just trying to get a better feel for it all

I personally just buy a bottle blind or ask a couple of friends that drink bourbon frequently if they have an opinion.

Just my luck. I know you've been on a BIB tour lately; any recommendations on something not too pricey?

None of the BIB's are expensive...only averaging about $15 a bottle but if you drink cocktails this is a way to go. For BIB's I would recommend Old Fitzgerald, Heaven Hills, Old Grandad, Very Old Barton and for a real step up Colonel EH Taylor Small Batch which is also a BIB albeit with a significantly higher price. I just like the 100 proof in the BIB when used in cocktails and I save the good stuff for sipping most of the time though I am not adversed to putting the real good stuff in a cocktail either.

Got a bottle of my local Twin Valley bourbon for Christmas and noticed it was 100 proof and everything I've ever had from them has been 90. Of course I had to compare. There def is a difference flavor wise. The higher proof version has a slightly deeper richer flavor with a stronger lovely cornbread & caramel finish. Upon further investigation the higher proof bottle was from 8 batches earlier. Not sure if there was a particular reason for not proofing that one down as much. It was just as smooth as the 90 proof bottle. Of course I followed up with a pour of the 100 proof. Damn I love this guys stuff.

Picked up a couple of these gift shop only Private Selections at the Four Roses gift shop last September. This is the OESV low rye recipe. Very fruity and elegant. @Jfire make sure you get by Four Roses and pick up some of these special bottles as they are just outstanding. You never know which recipe will be available at any given time but they are really something special.
