Hey guys I've been looking around at some cheaper cigars that are in my budget here in Canada which would be $100-$150 a box CAD. One of the cigars would the cuban short filler quintero favoritos. I was luck today and found one of the in my local shop covered in bloom. It was put to the side because it had a few dents in it and I guess its been sitting there for a while. But my main question is has anyone smoked this specific cigar if so what are your thoughts on it.

I hate to say it but that "bloom" you are seeing is probably mold. I'd have to see a pic of it to tell you for sure but chances are pretty good that it is mold and not plume.

I have not had any experience with the Quinteros so I cannot vouch for them. I have found Por Larranaga petite coronas, Ramon Allones small club coronas and flor de Cano selectos to be some good budget smokes. I'm guessing that even with punitive Canadian taxes you may be able to get into them for less than $150 CAD.

Why would you it is mold? The guys at these stores are knowledgeable and he picked it out for me. I am currently smoking it absolutely no mold taste just a very smooth subtle cigar.

Retailers are famous for trying to pass off moldy cigars as "plume". I have seen it happen many many times. Conversely out of the thousands of cigars I have smoked (and seen) over the years I have seen actual plume only twice.

I am pretty sure it was bloom it wiped off easily you could tell these cigars were sitting there for a while they were separated from the other Quinteros for being damaged

Kind of hard to tell from the photo but a good rule of thumb is that is it's fuzzy or "hairy" it's mold. As long as it doesn't get into the foot of the cigar you can usually wipe it off and it will be just fine though.

The ones from your list that I have had and can recommend are

Por larranaga panatelas
La flor de cano
Partagas mille fluers
RyJ Mille fluers

I have had the Jose L. Piedras and they are OK but not spectacular. I found the Garcia Y Vegas and CAO gold to be pretty crappy. I have not smoked any of the rest of the ones on your list so I cannot vouch for them.

Have you tried bidding on cigars at auction sites? You can get way better stuff than what you posted in your list, probably for less. Unless that isn't allowed in Canadia.
I used to buy quite a bit of stuff from the auction sites but quit because I ended up with way too many crappy smokes that I thought I was getting a "deal" on. Most of them were just dog rockets. As long as you have a good idea what you're buying and know what it should cost you can do OK. It is way too easy to get caught up in the competitive nature of he auctions though and end up buying stuff that you have never had before at prices that are not really that good of a deal.

favoritos are a more strait forward tobac noted cc smoke with not much transition thru out .
its a fairly new release , so OR maturation may favorably characterize the linea

Doubtful its bloom , but bloom also presents itself nicely interspersed along a smooth sheened wrap .

I find Panetelas best represent the marca
