Sometimes throughout the year I might go 2 weeks at a time or more without a cigar, then pull one out and be 1 a day for 3 months. Here recently I've been smoking alot as I'm on night shift and I have more time to smoke. I'll usually drink a few and smoke 2 or so after 11pm when I get off then 1 in the morning with coffee and maybe another right before work. The past few days I've hit 4 to 6 a day often nubbing one and immediately firing up the next. And I'm not talking about Macanudos either. Nicaraguan tats, LA aroma, rp sungrown, Anejos and other heavy hitters. The past 4 I've smoked this weekend all taste the same, not bad but I can't pick out Any flavors, just smoke. WTF! I just threw out a half of a 2yo tat red label it tasted like a light cigarette. No pepper no nothing. Has this happened to you before.

Skip a couple days, and you should be fine. Another thing that helps is a tongue scrapper. You can pick one up a Wally World for a buck or two. You will be shocked at how much junk it takes off your tongue, and how much better your cigars taste afterwards.

Sometimes I go months without smoking and I think it makes my choice of cigars much better when I have one.

+1 on Tongue scrapper, brush after smoking sessions, rinse with biotein helps a lot from burning out. Pair your smokes with a hot beverage or a carbonated soda that won't overwhelm the palate, like diet sprite helps to.

If you steam your mouth or tongue from a cigar it's either way to wet or your smoking wayyyy to hard. This is easy to do piping.

Sometimes the palate needs a "reset". Only you will know when that is, but a couple/few days break should help.

It happens too me if I smoke 2 or 3 in a day. If I know I'm going to have several in a day on a weekend/vacation etc...I start with what I expect to be a great cigar and take a few steps down from a quality standpoint generally.
