The collaborative cigar... Win or Fail?

The last few years I've seen a bunch of collaborations in the cigar world. Pete Johnson at Tatuaje relaunching a Altadis dog into the Henry Clay Tattoo. This year we have A.J Fernandez involvement in the Altadis/General Universes from Montecriso,Hoyo,R&J/Foundry. In the past the Aging Room Romeo!

What are the your thoughts on collaborative cigar projects? What are the best or worst you've smoked or seen?

I agree. I liked the Henry Clay Tattoo, but the Stalk cut was terrible.

The Futuro by Warped and Casa Fernandez is very good.

Henry Clay was the meatiest tasting cigar I've ever had. I mean that literally, it tasted like grilled meat.

I'm guessing that the qualifier in this instance is a situation that see's an owner/factory working with someone they normally don't for a special project? I dunno enough about the manufacture side of the industry to say with any amount of certainty, but that seems like how it would be in my head.

Point taken. I think the gist of this thread is mostly about multi-brand collaborations where 2 (or more) brand names are attached to a single facing, often for a limited or one-time run.

I absolutely love the Warped Guardian of the Farm Apollo, but I’ve had lots of issues with the burn, particularly holes in the filler. Even in the Rambo size as well. Has anyone else encountered this?
