The worst cigar bands

Ugh, personally I hate all cigar bands. I tear them off before lighting a stick because they bug me and get in the way. Sure they are obviously useful for identification in your humidor, but past that they are worthless. I've noticed with some of todays non-cuban cigars that the flashier the band and box the more mediocre the actual product.
This is a very similar phenomenon to the apparent arms race with cigars and craft beers over product naming. Many times its either outright dumb, or makes no sense whatsoever to name the product thus.
/fogey rant.

I hate when a band won't pull apart. Not necessarily too much glue but I'm guessing the type of glue. Happens a lot on LP or at least Unicos a lot.

You just described 97.5% of all cuban bands. Ugh.

It helps a lot if you smoke down close to the band. The heat loosens up the glue and makes it easier to remove.

I do and sometimes just doesn't help much.
