Do you actually have a "cigar budget"?

We have a set amount we put into savings monthly and a set budget for most of our spending needs.

The rest is fun money for us and I don't ever go above that. But savings always come first.
Really, we do the same. A set amount each week goes for bills, savings, and retirement, then what's left after dinner, gas, drinks, etc. is for whatever BS I want.. generally cigars.. lol

Something like that too. Savings is direct deposited, pay off bills, the rest goes to whatever is needed/wanted at the time.

Same for us. Daughters, savings, and bills are taken care of first. If there is money left to blow on sticks so be it. If not on to the next week.

Now that I'm on to CC mostly, less than before, hell most of the NC cigars I have cost more than the CC. I give the wife enough to pay ALL the bills and the rest is mine. She works too, all she has to do is grocery shop. Seems to be a good setup for the both of us. I probably spend 200 to 500 a month during my peak season of the winter. I usually stock up this time of year.

I did most of my cigar buying the last 2 years I worked full time before drawing my SS. I don't think I have even spent $100 on cigars the last 6 months. If I live long enough to smoke all of the cigars I currently have, I shouldn't have any complaints.

Yeah unless one buys a lot of Cohiba's or aged stuff you can easily spend as much or more on non-cubans. And that's why I very rarely do it. :cigar:

I think I'm over NC for the most part. Value wise instead of buying boxes of Anejos for instance I could save 50 and get jl2's. Enough said!
When I look through the NC purchase or smoking threads I rarely know anything about what's posted. Lots of nice bands but I have no clue what they're about.

That's how I was with CC. To me Padron and My Father cigars along with top shelf Fuentes can stand up to the partagas and HDM. They are the highest quality producers outside of Cuba in my opinion and many others.
