Most of my purchases come from Christmas and Birthday money. All of my family is 2000 miles away so they send checks for both. It almost all goes to filling humidors for the year. Then through the summer months when the humidors get low it depresses my wife "they are display type and in our bedroom" she will tell me to buy some. Other than that i do not buy monthly.

Certainly true in some cases but definitely not in all. Really depends on the individual and means.

I know right. That's how I felt. Why have I been buying $200+ boxes of tatuaje etc when I can get Monte 2's or serie d4 for the same price, or PLPC, HUPC, Party shorts for half the price.

Usually a couple hundred a month during the winter it goes up for sales. Also, Emily is a sucker for a deal so I tell her how much I saved on something she actually gets happy! Just about to crack the cc nut so we'll see how that goes. Wish me luck...

I've been thinking of an actual hard number budget alot lately and a complete freeze during summer and fall. The wife brought up moving and making the house a vacation rental...Now I can't stop thinking about the time and money its gonna take to do it.

My rule of thumb is to try to keep to $8 per stick average. Not so much a budget, just a goal. So a box of 25 that's $200 is the sweet spot. When I spend more on some I spend less on others. So if I buy some that come out to about $12 each I will grab some that are $4 each.

My other rule I try to abide by is to buy 2 for every 1 I smoke. To stockpile in the lean years if that happens. lol

What I actually spend and what my wife thinks I spend are 2 different budgets.
