Used to be whatever but so many good deals out now, I tend to do $4/6 a stick ( box sale price) unless the stick is spectacular.

Some months I spend zero and most Jan's I spend 2k right off the bat.... Last fall I prob spent 3k. So yeah I'm taking a break.
At the end of the day if I have the money I buy. If the budget gets tight I don't.

I'm starting to see that I can get WAY more for my money buying CC. Partagas shorts are like 5 bucks a piece. Used a coupon and got a box of HUPC for 110 shipped. There are some great "budget" CC your just not going to get a Churchill in the budget price range. JL2's are around 176 shipped for a whole box. That's 7$ a stick. I'll put it against any 7$ NC in the world.

Just built a new coolidor that needs to be filled and restocking the old so this week's budget is in left field. Spending a lot of time on the auction site and searching 5 packs at the other sites. Still trying to own a broad range of flavors and brands before settling in on a couple I really like.
I pay the credit cards (with her money) so I hope she doesn't ask to many questions
Hopefully I get to that "budget" place when I have enough smokes in the humidors that if I don't get a deal I can wait.

But, how long do you have to let it sit?

I'm buying now in hopes to get into a 1 to 2 year rotation. I very had a good bit of 2015 smokes that were awesome. You can let a box of undercrowns sit until the cows come home and and you'll still have a dog rocket. I'm not going to buy anything that's "ok" or pretty good ever again. Life's too short to smoke a 2nd. I have to really fork over some cash to buy a "domestic" box that I like as good as say an epicure 2 or edmundo. These just came in the mail like 5 minutes ago.

When my wife realized I could be smoking the forbidden fruit I dare not mention here for cheaper than I was paying for boxes of the NC smokes she beat me with a broomstick. At 43 and the life I have lived I probably won't see 60 so I'm buying those I dare not speak of and enjoying them. A lot. My wife is happy I'm spending less as well.

Mr. Z, I'm 33 and I know what ya mean. Their was a time when I used to drink natty light while smoking a flor de oliva or Jr alternative, but not today. I could get hit by a bus tomorrow. So it's gentleman jack and a partagas for now.

Just hit budget maximum! Emily busted into my "office" (the throne), and said, "alright I think that's enough! Don't you?" I just laughed and said, "Good thing I'm done, right?"
