For me it would definitely be Fonseca and Quai D' Orsay. Now don't get me wrong, these cigars, the No. 1 Fonseca and the Quai D' Orsay Imperial weren't bad cigars really. The construction was good, the condition I got them in was good. Its just that both are too mild. What they have is pleasant, its just too thin. I ended up using both as lazy Sunday morning smokes over a pot of coffee.
.
Also, I've got 3 more of them to smoke before I decide, but I don't see me ordering anymore Vegueros. They're not terrible, but not my cup of tea either.
.
I suppose I could add that at this point my days of buying Behike's is probably over too. Great cigars, but more than I need to be paying for smokes. My sir name is not Rothschild after all.
.
So, how about yourself? :cigar:

Interesting you say that. The Cohiba Maduro's as you know, are easy to acquire these days, yet for whatever reason, I've yet to buy any. It just has struck me as wrong ever since they launched them. I absolutely believe this was done for the US market also.

Oh wow. :bag:

See, this is further proof that we are indeed, "all different." Obviously we are not clones, we have different taste's and don't experience things in the same way. Which is fine, its why we don't all smoke the same 4 or 5 smokes. :cigar:
.
Personally, my most beloved Cuban smoke is the Hoyo Epi-2. It was my first Cuban smoke back in the day (late 80's) and is still the smoke I buy most. I usually buy 4 or 5 50 cabs every year since I got back in in 2004. :cigar:

Because they're overpriced and not that great.

And damn, I just had to bail on an Epi-#2 nub because it was burning me on every puff. Lip blisters are are a bridge too far, even on my fav stick.

Havent had a Quai D'Orsay I loved, but Ive not had a quality, aged example. Some Fonsecas Ive had have been good and unique in the way that good PL are; good not great. For me its been the cheaper ones, especially the short fillers. RG Perlas, Quintero Favoritos, Mille Fleurs...

Really though it comes down to boxes for me, some are totally shitty, some are great. One marca, one vitola can have its profile change completely from season to season. I sometimes wonder if theyre even coming from the same region year after year.

BHKs and Cohiba Maduros are fantastic cigars imo, but the prices are getting stupid.

Ha ha. So I was just looking around at random things on the broken cigar website and I notice the Fonseca No. 1 is no longer made. In fact they dropped it in 2012. So I rummaged around and found the box I had, it was an Oct 09 vintage.

We get it man. Vintage. But this isn't really the type of forum that you have to prove yourself correct about semantics all the time.

I had forgotten about the Quintero's. Lousy cigars at any price and I bought a whole box of them back around 2010. Gave most of them away.
I didn't know until a minute ago that there's a non-cuban brand by the same name. I'm sure those are great.
