Does anyone care to look in their crystal ball and talk about the future availability of Cuban cigars?
I understand that Cuba is asking for Guantanamo back and the US is looking for repatriation of some assets and still has human rights issues before moving forward with better relations.

Are we at a stalemate or will things change? What should we expect?

Florida is full of Cuban Americans. Cuban Americans vote Republican. Florida is purple and the GOP can't afford to piss off their base. Cuban Americans hate the Cuban military dictatorship government and don't want to open anything up with them until and unless Raul Castro's OUT and they hold free elections.

That's why a GOP congress means no action on Cuba. If anything, Orange Hitler will undo the progress Obama made and close the country back off.

I'm not gonna mess this up for the Op and I'll just keep my opinion Chuck.

Honestly I think things with Cuba will progress and get better over the years. That's just my guess and I don't think our current administration cares about offending people. Hopefully in a couple years we will have complete access. If not I'll just order from where I always do.

Sorry, it doesn't have to be political. I would hope the discussion would become the cost and availability of the cigars. Have they lost the market to NCs. Is Central america building good enough cigars that the intense demand no longer exists.

And no a good cuban is wasted on my newbie palate. Where I'll be by the time all this works out remains to be seen. There are a lot of new burners that have no appreciation for Cuban cigars and I was wondering if they will change.

I believe there will always be a demand for NCs and CCs. It all depends on the smokers palate.

I myself prefer CCs, but others prefer NCs over CCs. To each their own. But i don't think the NC market will ever dominate the CC market worldwide.

It took an act of Congress to create the embargo, and it will take one to end it.

The President has latitude to alter the terms with exec orders, as Obama did, to allow Americans to visit and bring back cigars.

Whether Cheeto wants to offend anyone or not, the GOP Congress has the real power in this case, and if you think they're just going to give up Florida, I have a Mexico-paid-for wall to sell you between the US and Mexico ;)

What is the oldest saying in politics "follow the money" if somebody can make a buck on it
