Hello to all here! My name is Bobby, I just recently picked the old cigar "habit" back up and am truly enjoying it. For so long where I live the only available decent cigars were through the mail and it was so hit and miss that I just lost interest. Recently I decided to look online and find a decent small humidor and look for a specific cigar or two that I used to enjoy very much. One of my absolute favorite sticks is the Diamond Crown #4 Connecticut Robusto. I do like the mildness and flavor of them...perfect with a morning coffee, a nice neat Irish Whiskey or a GOOD single malt. I'm also a Montecristo fan...both Cuban and non as well as several others.
I am an old soldier (as the name suggests LOL), I had a total of 13 years active duty US Army (Military Intelligence) and Arkansas Army National Guard (Infantry) from 1988-2001. Had a career as a City Carrier with the USPS (cush job) until 2012 when I had to take (forced into LOL) early retirement...I aggravated one of those "old soldier" injuries and they put me out to pasture. :finger: So my wife, my kids and old worthless me moved to the family farm here in very rural SW Arkansas (in the family since 1840). Now I do what I please, watch the cows eat green grass and sit under a couple of 200+ year old post oaks while puffing on a good stogie!
Wanted to join a couple of forums where I could talk to a few like minds and BS about good cigars and bitch about some of the bad ones that come along from time to time! Glad to be amongst you all!! ;)

What, you don't think two hour formations on the blacktop in midday July sunshine is blissful? Or what about when someone puts dirt in some sergeant's hole? Or someone's rock pile is 10 feet away from where it's supposed to be? They did have a fun bowling alley, and I was there back in the days when you could still go to Juarez. Glad you're here, brother. You seem like you'll fit right in.

LMAO! Yep, leave it to the Army to find the biggest sh!thole in a place that would otherwise be a garden of eden and put a fort there! Requirements must be LOTS of sand, deadly flora & fauna, bad water, heavy sunshine at least 19 hours per day and a local crime rate that would make the toughest in the FBI run and hide! I lucked out when I was Active Duty and in M.I. to have gotten assigned in Augsburg, West Germany for 3 years in a Field Station (I'm dating myself with the "West Germany" part LOL). After I came back from Desert Storm I extended for 6 months and CHOSE Ft. Polk because it was close to home. After the extended time in such a beautiful place I felt like I'd gone to hell (it was close)! West Central Louisiana isn't a tourist mecca!
Thanks for the welcome all and I already feel comfortable here amongst like minds!

Welcome from a neighbor to the south. Wifey and I really like Hot Springs and we do a lot of MC riding and camping a bit north of you.
