Been reading the forums for a few months, finally decided to stop lurking and sign up. Been a “Special Occasion” cigar smoker for years, eventually moved to special occasions and holidays, and now the last few months I've added one or two on most weekends.
When I smoked very infrequently I always just stopped by a B&M cigar store and picked whatever looked good and/or the shop recommended. After upping the frequency a bit, on a whim decided to store some at home. From there I'm sure the story is pretty familiar to you all... First bought a bunch of cigars, and once I had them home realized how little I really knew about cigars, storage, etc.
Everything is sorted out now, with no loss of cigars... and that is mostly thanks to all of you. If no other reason, wanted to join the forum to say thank you to the members. I'm a little lighter in the wallet then a few months ago, but am having a blast.
Love the reviews and the discussions. Have found an incredible amount of info reading through the threads, and have an ever growing list of cigars to try based on things you've suggested.
Anyway, thanks for sharing the fantastic community you've established. I'll try to participate where possible and maybe even pass on the favor someday if I ever build up a little knowledge of my own.
