BOTLs,

We have been getting taxed on our choices HARD since the turn of the century, the dates are self explanatory, the middle price is per cigarette and the price on the far right is Australian dollars per kilo which is currently how we are taxed on cigars. Apparently it has a low affect on voters and doesn't require much administrative commitment to ensure these sorts of taxes thrive. Now I don't know how you can use this information but fight these laws at every turn. This madness is what awaits and once it starts it never stops as can be seen below. We are now paying about $300AUD in duty alone on 1 box of Corona Gordas, on top of the purchase price.

Our B&M's have perished.. and smokers now send all their money off shore in an attempt to avoid this which is counter productive in every way.

Again I dunno how this will help but I feel compelled to share this with you guys.

Oh and hello to everyone and sorry I don't stop by much any more.:)

An open attack on an industry that has been around for centuries and if those who continue this attack had any scruples of their reasoning....because there are far more fatal activities out there that aren't being attacked they choose tobacco as a prime target. So glad I bought up all the tobacco I have in the past 20 years to smoke what I want when I want while I watch these sanctimonious a-holes tell me what is good for me while they ingest 10 pounds of sugar...eat at greasy spoons...live in cities that put out more pollution in a week than what I smoke in a year....yeah, I believe these bozos are looking out for my welfare as they stuff their donuts into their faces weighing in at 300 pounds. I'll just watch em while smoking a nice big churchill and then blowing smoke at them.

I am currently in Washington State, you can smoke a joint if that's what you heart desires, but if you want to sit back and enjoy a cigar, the closest place to me is about an hour and a half away.
I am originally from Seattle. Now in the great state of Texas for several years. I have gone back only 6 or 7 times in the past 20 years. Washington State is so screwed up with its policies, taxes, regulations, etc. you can get high all day long but you can't relax and de stress with a cigar unless you are able to build up a nice stock pile. Last time I was there I found 2 B&M shops around Seattle and one at the Muckleshoot Indian smoke shop. None of them worth a damn, and was to far a drive to go more then once. Close to an hour drive, without the crappy traffic.
