Here's a little project I did on a rainy day.
The clear glass ash tray was $1.95 at a thrift store. I used Modge Podge adhesive to affix the labels to the underside of it. Then glued some felt on top of that. You could also just use some sealer like a urethane.

I have 8 ashtrays that I picked up from the various thrift stores in my area. I have already done 3 using assorted bands like the one pictured. The next few will brand specific. I'm working my way through a couple of boxes of the old DPG Blue and DPG Black for one. Another will be a DE LP specific (Although it takes all my will to light my old LP9s.). One more will be a Fuente specific one. The last one I want to do is an Illusione. But those bands are so small it's going to take a few boxes in order to have enough labels. I might even try to cover the 18"x18" table that I use in the yard.

With the crappy weather we've been having in the northeast, I may get these done before the winter.
