Nothing out yet on the UK but I wouldn't expect to see anything till later in the year as we've only just seen the Monte 2016 EL.

Jan 2017 CoRo box still looks like most 16 blah wrappers. At least the one example I received. Not terrible but not Cohiba. And the fact that @Nacho Daddy is getting questioned on CC knowledge makes me lol.....

So 2017 is over, what's the consensus on quality for last year? Good, bad, or the same as 16? Any standouts?

I thought the Boli RC and Juan Lopez were on point in 17.

2017 looks a lot like 2015 to me, some standouts and some great codes but also some blah boxes. After the disaster that was 2016 though, I’m glad to see a large uptick in quality. I’m excited to see the wrapper leaf from these last couple great crops start popping up in 18/19 though. Unless you were after something specific now or were searching out OR box codes from some of the recent releases, I would save going deep for a year or so from now.

Based on what I’ve seen I disagree with them looking like 2015 boxes. I think that the 2017 box codes are a great starting point for those who missed 2014 codes and knew better than to buy 2015:2016 stuff

I have 3 boxes of 17s -- the Lusitanias are stellar IMO, I have not tried the Punch 48 (bought based on a recommendation from @ChuckMejia ) or the Superiores yet. The RAs were actually dated Nov 2018 but I assume they are 17s...ah that Cuban attention to detail.

I definitely enjoy the punch 48 blend. It’s unique for sure.

Have you had an hoyo elegantes?

Not yet. What are your impressions? I will have to look into those...
Love them, not overly expensive either. Similar price to punch 48 ... €95-98

I was worried about construction since it was a figurado. But it burned well without any issues, at the beach of all places. Ever since I have grabbed them whenever funds have been right

That’s strange, I was thinking the same thing about you, and I’m not even taking about your “box splits.” I just can’t believe you can remove your feed bag long enough to have a cigar.
