And what about the giant 1/2" to 3/4 giant gap at floor level?

You could always hit up HD for an exterior door sweep and attach that to the bottom....If its a carpeted room that should probably make a halfway decent seal for the bottom.

Damp towel. Just like college! Haha
For real, or a door sweep or something like that, that can be attached to the bottom of the door and it will just hang down a touch and make contact with the rug or wood. Im assuming wood if its going to be a smoking room

What happened here? I'm looking for ideas for the room, some people have given pertinent information which I appreciate.

I'm going to have two exhaust fans in the ceiling and a outdoor air return to equalize and create a negative pressure situation.

The room is heated and cooled, it's in my house
What's going on here is that people are giving you solid advice and trying to help. I know people who have spent 10s of thousands of dollars building such rooms and have cheaped out on the exhaust/air cleaner systems and have regretted it.

Do what you like but if you want a negative pressure situation, don't you have to seal the door/threshold as Jfire said?

Yea that's why I discussed it and ideas I had myself.

Using the houses AC and heater without some way to prevent intake is going to get smoke in all the rooms connected by the HVAC system.

The heating is baseboard so that doesn't matter. The AC is HVAC, so I will probably block the vent off and put a unit in the wall I can turn on when it gets hot.

My suggestion would be to pay a professional company to come in and take care of it for you. Not being rude or anything, but if you have to ask for help you should probably pay someone who does this for a living. If you want it done right, you know?

Where did I ask for help? I asked for ideas, dart board, shuffle board, leather chairs....etc.

Poker table is what I would do if you have the room. Can't help you with the air system I am clueless in that area. I would have to get a pro.

At the risk of sounding like a butthead, I think this is where you confused us in the original post:

Any ideas? What's the best way to seal the backside of the door that comes in and out?
I don’t know that any of us understood that you were asking for ideas on what to put in the room.

That being said, I’d go pool table, poker table, dart board, and a wet bar. No TV but definitely some decent speakers for listening to the game/music. Panel the walls with wood to give it an old school vibe.

Oh yeah it definitely can. But to think you are going to do it as well the first time as someone who does it every day for years is insane.

I love DIY projects for things I'm interested in and want to do again in the future.

Thought that was the whole point of the thread. Why would you be asking people what things to put in your room? I mean it's your room put things in it you are going to use and enjoy. I'm pretty sure we all have different interests.

So to stay on your intended topic:
I'd have a huge TV and sound system (basically a scaled down home theatre) and probably a computer workstation with a nice desk in mine. None of my friends or family smoke so it'd be an area I could without having to go outside.

Poker table, mini fridge, fancy decanter set full of Canadian Mist :playful:, radio, internet, random manly artwork.. I'm doing a TV in mine, but I'm usually out there by myself. Probably wouldn't do one if I had more company over.. Promotes better conversation and whatnot..

So far this is the list I came up with:

1 Large 3 seat leather couch
55" Tv from walmart for cheap like $300
Poker Table
1 Large Leather Chair
I have alot of sports memorabilia I will be putting on all of the walls
1 other chair
Dart board
Fridge

Possibly a shuffle board table
