Hi everyone,
I'm Roberto and I'm writing from the north of Italy, City of Milan. I consider myself a newbie, I started smoking premium Cigars more or less two years ago. Before I used to smoke cigarettes and our tipical Cigar, Toscano. It can be smoke entire or you can cut in half, there are some differnt 'lines' with different names, some are totally hand made but the largest part is made by mechanized procedure; the tobaccos used for fillers and wrappers are always the same: North American Kentucky and Italian Kentucky (both fire cured).
I came into the world of premium Cigars after having a Tatuaje Noellas gave me by a friend. Now my heart goes boom for Nicaraguan then Dominicans and finally Cubans (I have some vintage in my humidor) and I know...probably someone could think I'm fool.
In Italy we can't buy cigars online and I think it's really stupid, here there's a limited choice so I have to follow the message given by my favourite Premium Cigar Company...I have to carve my own path. I'm really a big fan of Crowned Heads and yesterday evening I was so lucky to taste a Four Kicks Mule Kick 2017, just fabolous imho! I'm here to learn more about what became a strong passion and why not my English :) I ask everyone to forgive my mistakes please. Thanks and Ciao!

Welcome Manfro66,
You live in a very scenic country. I was lucky enough to spend a week touring Italy but never made far enough west to visit Milan. Went to Venice for a couple of days and then to Florence for a few more. Spent a few in days at the beach in Ravenna. Some fond memories riding a 2 car train from Bologna to Ravenna. It was always stopping to pick up kids for school and they thought we were so interesting and had lots of question. The countryside was so beautiful with all of the perfectly laid out farmland so lush and green. Someday I hope to return so my wife can see what I like to talk about during my stay.

Welcome from Ohio!
What are some cigars that you would like to be able to get in Italy that are not currently available?

Thanks Jim for sharing your memories of my Country, you are right it's very scenic but living in is so different than visit it and I think it's the same for many corners of our Mother Earth. I love my Country but here there are a lot of things who doesn't work, it's not a great time, I am lucky but I don't want to be boring. Venice and Florence are well known and beautiful, my compliments ... you visited a great region (Emilia Romagna) and Bologna is very very nice, I love the countryside you can find outside the city. You should absolutely come back with your wife, I've never been in your great Country but I'm sure the 'Land of 10,000 Lakes' is really wonderful.

Thanks for your kindness and also for your question, from my reply all of you can understand how bad the situation is here about the choice an aficionado can does. If you want to smoke only Habanos you can, no problems but as I wrote I prefer Nicaraguan and Dominicans, especially full, I find a kind of deep 'soul' in these stogies that Habanos don't have and it's just my personal opinion. Cubans are puros as we know, I love puros from Nicaragua or Dominican Republic but also the stogies with different mix in the filler or different tobaccos used for wrapper and binder. The list is too long, the largest Cigar's market in the old continent is Germany, you can buy online from but on your risk; a few years ago you could be charged with smuggling (independently from the quantity bought), a crime! Nowadays customs can ask you 'just' money. Here are not available Crowned Heads (any release), RoMa Craft (any release), Tatuaje different from brown label, Crux, Foundations (I love El Gueguense-The Wise Man), Black Label Trading Co., PDR, Viaje, CAO Amazon Basin, CAO Brazilian, CAO Pilòn, Herrera Estelì, Norteno, EdgarHoill, Flores y Rodriguez, Illusione, Drew Estate, AJ Fernandez (available just a couple or three release), Caldwell, La Palina. You can imagine about Limited Edition, is like finding water in the desert and it's frustrating. Davidoff and Camacho are available but I don't like the second and don't want to smoke the first. Ciao!

ciao fratello della foglia! So happy to read you appreciate Toscano cigar, I still smoke it when I have not enough time or when I need a quick smoke...absolutely right best shared with a friend, you can't do it with any others cigars lol. The most appreciated between Toscano's smokers is 'Antico' one. I have never been in Pescara but I visited other area on the sea of Abruzzo, another beautiful Italian region. I would like to thank all the members for your kind welcome. I have to read, learn and smoke a lot :) Enjoy your smoke!
