Hi everyone!!!

My name is Melanie Cantelmo (aka FTB.Melanie). I am a wife and mom for 4, 2 girls and 2 boys! I own a cigar shop (Ford on Fifth Cigars) with my husband and am busy taking care of the family. The cigar shop was a new thing for us, as we just bought it in December of 2016! But it has been a dream for my husband for 16 years.

Prior to owning a cigar shop, I was a cigar rep, a special education assistant teacher, high needs case manager for children with mental disorders/ trauma, before that I was a Youth and Family Specialist and prior to that I worked for Child Protective Services. My biggest regret was not completing my Masters in Counseling.

My husband, Anthony (aka FTB_Anthony) used to be an High School English teacher prior to getting into the cigar industry but has a love for cigars as long as I have known him. When we first got married he picked up extra hours at the local cigar shop to make ends meet. Then he got offered a job with LFD in Texas, which brought us back to Az when he got offered a job with AJ Fernandez. Then an opportunity came up to open his own cigar brokerage, which I helped him with for a few years. Which brought us to finding Ford and Haig, the oldest Cigar shop in Az (originally owned by John Ford - the movie director). We bought it and haven't turned back since.

Sorry for the crazy LONG ass post. But that's kind of my cigar life wrapped into one!!

We changed the name of our shop from Ford and Haig to Ford on Fifth because the previous owner wouldn't allow us to keep the name. But we had to keep Ford in the name since John Ford opened the shop. Movie stars used to go to the shop like Dick van Dyke and yes, even Bill Cosby (insert sleeping drug joke here). But we are blessed for sure!

We just started the online website so it's not fully finished http://fordonfifth.com but if you're ever in Scottsdale, Az come by and visit. It's a very old time shop but we like it that way! Old school and old timer, family feeling. Very much a community shop.

Ok I'm done. Thanks for having me.
