First homeroll in a week. Been on an eclipse camping trip in Idaho and only took Cubans and boutique Nica (Warped, Illusione, Foundation Cigar Co.) with me.

Great seeing your progression. It gives me hope.

How do you feel about those kits. I have 2 from wlt that should be here tomorrow. Just gotta get some more practice but I still hope they are decent tobacco.


Pups make great taste testers!! Burnin one is always better with a friend.

Thanks - I think the blend kits are a great way for newbies to get an idea of how to blend, but once I got an idea of how the tastes went together I didn't order again. They were good quality but I just started ordering full pounds.

Terroso profundo was my favorite blend kit.

That's good to here I will try that one for sure next order. That sounds like a flavor profile I could really enjoy.

In my recovery time of a surgery I found some time to roll.
All tobacco from Honduras and Nicaragua, 56 gauge.

finally got around to cleaning up a mold I got off ebay a month ago. Didn't realize how big it was when I ordered it and had to use the shop press to clamp it.
Made about a 36 to 38 ring gauge. This blend was great - 1 to 1 of mata fina and criolla 98 ligero with a double dom seco binder and Honduran Cuban seed wrapper.

A vitola which I've never heard of is about the perfect vitola for me: the corona gorda corta. In this case it's a 47x5.

Kind of ashamed to show these compared to you guys sticks but here goes, one with band is my attempt at a Double Ligero, the little dumpy was made with a lot of scraps and will be smoked today
