What do you do with your Bands?

I started gluing them to the door of the beer fridge in the garage. Lost interest in that about 50 labels in. Now, they go in the ashtray, then the trashcan

I toss them. I don't want to remind my wife how much I smoke. Let's see. 10 years of smoking 2 to 3 per day equals approximately 10,000 bands. Man, would that be a sight. Yes, I think I'll continue to throw them away, lol.

They go in my 6 gallon Shop-vac and get emptied out once a year from my basement. That vacuum was the best $100 ashtray cleaner I ever bought.

It's not perfect. The paint/finish will chip if you drop the lighter.

I did that about 6 years ago. My in-laws bought me that exact mug and I was like, "I'm not 'crafty'. What the hell am I going to do with this?!" Then I tried to figure out what to do with my bands and it clicked. I used all Liga bands since the black and white bands went well with the black and chrome finish of the mug. Looked freaking awesome - took it everywhere with me. Then my daughter put it in the dishwasher and the water got between the plastic and mug and ruined the paper/bands. I'm still pretty upset about it...

I thought about it. I've been meaning to buy another one of these mugs and use nothing but Nicaraguan bands on it and then only drink Nicaraguan coffee with it.

I had thought I would try to be creative with them and keep them. With all lack of creativity they end up in the trash. Maybe one day i will get that light bulb and do something with them.
