IMG_5898.JPG So I've tried working with a certain Swiss company that's highly rated on the bull sh!t MC2s they keep sending me and I need some input.

My mc#2 band with ring gauge numbers on the end and flat, and their bs band in the box I got today. I've never seen a habanos band tapered at the end. Have any of you?

Ps- my band is from the partagas factory in Havana where I bought them. For reference.

Post photos of the box, or PM me the name of the vendor.

If your only issue is tapered ends on the bands, this could just be Cuba being Cuba. If there are other red flags, that's another story.
The box and box code looked legit. The habanos verification checks out. They were jul 17 which is new af.

Probably some bored Cuban fella with a bad attitude and a pair of scissors saying "lets mess with the Gringos"! The fault is hidden so it would pass inspection

Interesting. I'm super anal about bands when I order online almost to the point of insanity.

The sticks look pretty poor though. I know it's a bit hard to tell but the far 3 are just littered with green spots and streaks IMG_5896.JPG

Don't do that. You'll give yourself an anxiety attack.

I still think you're fine. Trust your vendor, not the inside end of the band. Cuba does all kinda weird stuff. If you have a good vendor, you're good.

As or quality, those just look like recent production Montes.

Also, it wouldn't really make sense that you received a legitimate box from a legitimate source, with bands that look legitimate except the covered end being slightly tapered, and that's going to be the giveaway that the whole thing is fake.

Your vendor is good, and that's where your trust should lie.

This is the monte #2 I recently acquired. Box code TOR DIC 2015. If ur vendor let u choose box codes, I would pick 2015 or early 2016 production.

Thanks for the input fellas. Guess I just get paranoined when I order online no matter who it's from. I usually pay a little premium for boxes "from a guy" who makes regular trips to Cuba and I nit pick every little thing from online vendors bc there are just so many fakes out there.

If you think about it, someone took time to trim that band, so it could have been a band for a bigger cigar like the double edmundo.
why? Possibly that bench/factory ran out of the proper size.
No faker would have done that.
the green on your wrappers is a second fermentation that is completely normal, and not unusual in a young cigar.
You have a long road in front of you when it comes to trust, you cannot use a Non Cuban yardstick to measure Cuban cigars, from a quality or appearance standpoint.
You will go mad if you try.........:banghead:

This could be a problem.
I hope you are freezing them before introducing to the humi.
also Cuba if full of fakes so good they defy some of the best and most informed.
