I bought 2 boxes from a Swedish retailer (my 2nd order this month). First order got to my place just fine and was left on the porch, just like the dozens of other boxes my roommates and I get delivered every month. The tracking for the most recent order had the delivery as today, but it never said it left my local post office. Instead, at about the time they should have been delivered, the tracking says there was no secure place to leave the package and Ill have to go pick it up from the post office. Is this a sting?
Am I just being paranoid?

US customs is not going to set up a sting over two boxes of cigars. They've got plenty of bigger things to worry about. Their normal MO is to send you a letter, saying that the shipment was confiscated. I've received a couple of those and you can just ignore it if you get one.
It is common practice however for many CC vendors to require a signature, especially the ones who guarantee delivery. More than likely the vendor just requested a signature confirmation.

Haha thanks man. I didnt think they would waste the resources, but they didnt require a signature last time. I dont think Ill have time to get them until Friday, that customs agent would get pretty bored sittin around for 3 days!

Not weird at all. Happens all the time. Substitute carrier, lazy carrier, confused carrier, it's a daily occurrence and a very normal delay note. I ship stuff almost daily, and I've seen that delay a lot. Got a new one recently though, "package undeliverable due to interference by animal" all I could picture in my mind was a grizzly tearing a mail truck apart...
