Picked up one of these from Amazon. Tired of the prep and inconsistent results from rubbing out plugs and ropes. This thing makes it a breeze and the results are perfect. One turn in this grinder and walla.

I prepped some C&D Burley Flake in the new grinder and it turned it into a perfect ribbon cut.

I've seen herb grinders like that on groupon super cheap - no idea if they're any good, though.
This particular one is heavy for it's size and seems to be very well made. Quite a few reviews on the cheaper ones indicating poor quality, complaints of broken tines and the like.
