How often do you puff?

Hey guys,

So how often, on average, do you puff the cigar you're smoking?

I tend to puff once a minute to once every 2 minutes to keep the smoke nice and cool and so I can maximize determining flavors.

Now do you mean great big old Superman puffs or dainty little Lois Lain puffs? How often I draw is normally determined by how the cigar is burning.

I like to "speedrun" my cigars. The other day I smoked a Churchill in under 20 minutes.

I puff often enough to keep the cigar burning properly, but not so fast that it gets too hot or affects flavor. Right in between.

I usually take very large draws that fill my mouth with smoke, and make the cherry "pop", retrohale half to 3/4, and blow the rest out.

Thanks bro. I'll experiment around with this as well. My reasoning is I'm always scared to make it burn too hot and ruin the smoke/make it bitter. I hate when I puff too often, flavor starts deteriorating prematurely and gets bitter. And then I get mad lol.
