If you can get past the first 1/2" of typical MF pepper bomb I think you might like this one. It really mellowed out after that initial blast. Lots of chocolate initially with some woodiness. About halfway through the chocolate faded to the background and the woodiness with some floral notes took over for a while. The pepper came and went for the rest of the cigar, but never obtrusive. The last third had a lot of earthy floral notes, roasted nuts and the chocolate faded in and out. It was mostly medium to medium full bodied, not as strong as other MFs. I'd have to smoke a few more, but I think I might like this one better than the Le Bijou. This was a nice cigar. (y)

Thanks for thinking of me Bob. Yeah, i smoked one of them, the pepper bashed me in pretty good. I just couldn't enjoy it. It had a few nice moments, but overall it was pretty unpleasant for me.
Turn up the chocolate and nuts,, dial back the smokey woodiness, and get rid of the pepper and it would be great... I may just need to avoid my father brands nearly entirely. Las antillas was OK, and I need to try La duena, But there's plenty of Pete, Huber, Gellis, illusione and AJ blends I'm liking, those along with Habanos, curivari, assorted other things and a few CAO should keep me pretty well rounded out.

Don't bother with the La Duena, you won't like it.
