Just bottled up a 5gal batch of braggot mead I made back in April for hillbilly herf 2018. Half mead half beer. Tasty like a honey ipa, 8%

Over holidays, I brewed a Nutella Stout. I made an extract of hazelnuts and cocoa and dumped it into the keg when I transferred, which is carbing up now and should be ready to drink on Friday

Be careful attaching the blow off tube to the airlock. The bottom of the airlock can get clogged with krausen and blow the lid off.

I finished up a kettle sour berliner this weekend and while running a cleaning cycle I did something stupid. Despite the warning labels I put on my controller, I opened the drain valve and forgot to turn off the element - DOH! I made it 3 years without dry firing an element however I guess it's time to incorporate safety cutoffs. Here are some pictures of brewday and what happens when an element dry fires.

Picked up some new cold side equipment for the back yard brewery. So far three recipes run through it with each getting a bit better as I improve the process. Bit of a learning curve coming from brewbuckets to these. Fourth (hbc438 pale ale) will be transferred under pressure this Friday and the Fifth a NEIIPA in a week. I seem to be spending more time on the homebrew hobby these days.
