Good Afternoon!
I'm a long time lurker and but fairly new member. I posted in the introductions section a few weeks ago, but will include a little bit of background here.
I've enjoyed cigars off and on for the past 10 years and have had various humidors and collections over the years. About a year ago I really got back into the hobby and have fallen in love again. I have a wineador with 5 custom drawers and 2 shelves that were made by Forrest. Everything is seasoned up and ready for stocking! For the past few months I've been buying a lot of singles from my local B&M and have enjoyed trying new things. For work I travel to Asia several times a year and I still have 4 boxes or so of CC's in my collection. Other than my CC's, I have not made any box purchases. Last week I had a Montecristo Classic Robusto and really enjoyed it. Enjoyed it so much that I want to buy a box. Assuming that online would be my best option I started down the road of looking at my online options. This is where I quickly became overwhelmed. From JR's to Thompson to Cigars International, all of them seem too have pluses and minuses. With all of that here is my question... Are there any retailers I should avoid? It seems like all of them have roughly the same product at roughly the same cost. Should I just pick one and roll with it? lol I've never purchased online and before I drop $300+ I want to make sure I'm not going to get burned (pun intended!!) Any advice or tidbits of knowledge would be much appreciated. Thanks for the great group and an even greater group of cigar lovers.
Cheers!
Christopher
