Difference between Inktome and Inktome Exception?

Does anyone know the difference between Inktome and Inktome Exception? From the descripton it seems as though its only the box pressing that differs them but there is quite the price difference...

So wouldn't one think that the Exception would have the higher price tag? I was thinking about picking up the original blend but I dolt know if i want to pull the trigger.

Not necessarily. And, from what I understand, the Estelí Inktome is more expensive because there were far fewer made. The Estelí Inktome Exception was more "mass produced". Something like ~10,000 Exceptions were made vs. ~1,500 of the Estelí Inktome cigars.

I got a fiver of the Exception, deciding on if its worth trying the original.

They're both pretty good. The Exception is a bit odder vitola, being a pretty thin box press though. I only have one of the OR left, but I know it wasn't the same vitola.

I'm pretty sure @bwhite220 is correct on the blend and the production, I think it's just made with higher priming leaves and was released on a larger scale.

Most of these other reviewers will never be honest because they don’t want to ruin relationships in the industry. They’re corny.
