Recently I got a box of SD4 Partagas and decided to repurpose the cedar box.
I have some nice customs that fit like a glove, so this box is in the vault for a year.
I enjoy the cedar aromas a cigar picks up in a tube, and I store my working sticks in cedar cabs.

I have even slipped a cedar sheet (from box packing ) between rows of sticks inside the cab. Horizontally, of course.

Have you tried any science projects with cedar?

I’m curious if the taste difference will be more due to the cedar or due to the 1-year rest on the custom rolls. Certainly cedar imparts some flavor but I’m not sure it’ll be a strong influence on the flavor. Cool idea.

I have noticed on some sticks brothers have bombed me...... I kept smelling the stick because the cedar aroma was so nice- much nicer than the cedar aroma in my humidor! Sadly, the cedar in my humidor isn't aromatic enough to substantially affect my sticks.

Is the PSD4 wood box really cedar tho? I know the sheet that goes in between each sheet is... but is the whole box cedar?

Know it all? How so?

I simply questioned the material used in the boxes

You must have toured the factories where all these boxes are made and know exactly the quality of materials used

But anyhow. My bad, forgot your started smoking cigars back when Castro was in his 20s.

I’ve been smoking Cubans long enough that I have figured out my palate well.

Anything else old man?

Oh let me guess... the younger crowd has no voice right? Because we haven’t smoked as long as you right? Because we aren’t old and bitter like you right? Stop being so salty.

I’m just amazed about someone using cedar to impart flavors in cigars. What will they think of next? Annnnnnnnnnnd, what if it’s in cellophane?
