Your question is a good one the same reason back when the first 240Z Datsun came out it had a suggest list of about $3,000.00. But they the 240Z's were high demand driving price up as much as $1,500.00 - $2,000.00 bucks. My buddy sold Toyota in Placerville is the early 1980, it was the same thing with Toyota 4 X 4 Trucks, sold way over MSRP because demand. Plus house kept most of profit, as they was not much salesmen ship with buyer fight to buy.

IMHO a lot of Cigar prices are driven up by Gloss Cigar Rag ads (CA Ads example0, big booth displays at the Vegas Cigar Show, cost of sales force, marketing, etc.

Honeslty I have a major problem paying more then $8.00 - $10.00 for a individual stick, except once in a blue moon. My mission is finding reasonabally price good quality sticks constructed sticks with a taste[ I enjoy at good prices.

IMHO there are many great Cigar buys out their if you as a buyer are willing to take chance of samplers, and bundle cigars. These could be called steath Cigars flying under the radar until discovered. Then some leaks the word on a Cigar forum, and other try, like, and buy.

Local B & M has lots of Opus, if you are will to pay $15.00/Mark Up over MSRP, and buy a couple of other boxes of normal stuff. Then you can buy A LIMIT OF TWO.
