New Humidor!

In my intro thread I mentioned I had a cigar loving brother whom I don't get to visit as often as I like. Today we both went to my moms (for Mother's Day, obvs) and we chatted about cigars awhile. He has had a sinus infection, so we didn't pull any out to smoke. But we talked a bit about my Tupperdor I was setting up, and after a few minutes he mentioned that he had a Humidor he was no longer using, and wanted to know if I wanted it. He said it was a bit large - about 100 sticks, maybe more. His wife would be glad to get it out of the house.

Now I gotta work on filling this thing!!!



I had to fix the catch, but otherwise it seems to be in REALLY good shape. WOOT!

I really like these humidors they look really nice. Congrats on the new acquisition!

Was your brother using it or was it in storage? You'll need to get a good digital hygrometer and some boveda packs for humidification. You'll need to season that thing if it was in storage..... give me a few, I need to check my notes

outstanding ! I hate seeing an empty humidor.

Haha yep... you've got me a package on the way! It has been stored a bit, so you're absolutely right - it'll need seasoning. He said the mechanical hydrometer was working when he stored it, so I might just check the calibration and go with it if it looks good.
