So I've been playing around on Cigar Bid & I won my first auction a 10 pack of Alec Bradley Black Market Robustos for $32.44 in the Free Fall section. That seams like around half price so not a bad deal. My questions are about shipping and billing. I set my ship date for Thursday & won them Thursday night after business hours. The way I understand it, they shouldn't ship until next Thursday & anything else I win between now & then will also ship next Thursday with only one shipping charge. Is this correct? Also when do they charge your account, when you win or when it ships?

You are right that they will ship next Thursday with everything you won between today and wed night at midnight. You will pay the single 6.95 shipping charge plus 1.00 for each item after the first. Card will be billed on the day the items ship not as you win them.

The best deals are in the quickies category, IMO. I think the longer the auction, the better the chances of someone stumbling across your lowball bid and out doing you. I personally don't have the patience for freefall. All that waiting, and watching, just to have it reset before it gets to a price I want to pay, lol. I like to just set a max bid then forget about it. Sometimes I win, a lot of times someone wants it more than me.

Thank you!!! That's what I was wondering because the transaction didn't show up in my account on my phone when I won. I guess they wait to charge you in case you win something else before the ship date. That works for me!!!

Got an email this morning that cbid has 10 packs of My Father No.1 on for $50. Good deal if you like a fuller smoke. Might be worth dropping one in your cart if you already paid shipping.

There is an add on for FF (and maybe Chrome) that shows winning bid history. You might want to look into that as well. Could help stop you from over bidding.

I saw that too. I haven't tried those yet but I've read good things. I may try to pick them up.

If you don't want to buy 10 of something you've never tried, you can probably pick up a fiver for about the same $/stick (maybe even with free shipping) from CP or the monster if you're patient

Lot of guys talk shit about CB on here, but I use it. I've got some great deals on GOOD SMOKES and yard gars/daily smokes. Just gotta have rules.
Mine are: Gotta be at least 40% of what local BM sells for, something I've smoked before unless they are practically free (cause even shitty ones get smoked at my house). You just gotta watch the site A LOT, and don't get into bidding wars.
In the event that you get something you don't like you can just send them to @GoBison, he's got room.

I used to poke around there but it became a problem when I started bidding and would forget what I had my money on. If you check it a lot you'll be able to get some serious steals!

Yeah I've been trying to win for around 50% of the price it wold cost to order from my usual internet sites. There's no B&M within a 45 minute drive of me, just a liquor store with a small humidor with overpriced sticks. Right now I've won 10 AB Black Market Robustos & 5 COA Brazilia Gil! & I'm in for $49.85 including shipping. So I figure that's around $3 - $3.50 a stick which I think is pretty good for those sticks, considering the liquor store near me sells the ABs for, no lie, $13.99 a stick. Both of those came from the free fall section. Haven't actually won anything from bidding yet. I just pic a price I'm willing to pay & that's that. Everything I've actually bid on so far someone else has wanted more than me!

Cigarbid has its usefulness. I log in a couple times a year to buy a bundle of my favorite yard gars. Just remember all the deals come back around, don’t get caught up in impatience or a false sense of urgency. Bid low, set a max bid, and walk away.

And let everything they ship you nap for 6 months.
