I was looking around online & stumbled on this. I had to have it. I figured it’d be great to take on vacations with us to use in the camper. I had read on a previous tread that I found where someone was worried about the smell inside the can. From what I can tell this one is new or has been cleaned up really good & the only smell inside is the cedar.

LMAO!!! ^^^^ You guys are great!!! Quick question, how would you go about seasoning it since it's made of metal? I assuming from checking previous treads to just wipe all the wood with a clean sponge dampened with distilled water, let it sit closed for a few days, check RH, add a couple Bovedas. & good to go.

I'd put a damp towel (not dripping) stretched out on a piece of plastic in there as well. You don't want the towel resting on bare wood.

I've got a few, 16, coming from Cbid that shipped yesterday to be split between it & a tupperdor I put together. Just getting into cigars so I'm not buying in bulk yet. Between the tupperdor & my little acrylic jar humidor, I had plenty of room for storage without this one. I just really wanted this ammo can one because I thought it was really cool.

Seasoning is simple to season:
1. Buy a couple of Boveda 84% seasoning packs.
2. Open the plastic wrappers if still on the packs.
3. Do not wet down the wood, it is a waiste of time. All the water will evaporate into the air of the Ammo can before the wood can actually absorb the moisture. All the air on the Ammo can has to get saturated with the humidity before the wood will absorb any of it.
4. Toss the packs into the Ammo can along with any trays that may have come with the Ammo can package.
5. Latch the Ammo can closed and don’t open it for 14 days. That’s right, don’t open it up!
6. After 14 days, open it up.
7. Take the 84% Boveda packs out.
8. Inspect the Ammo can and see if everything looks OK.
9. I it looks fine put in cigars.
10. Put in enough new Boveda packs of the RH level of your choice.
11. Close and secure the lid.
12. Enjoy your cigars at will.
