I've never heard Vic Wooten; but I'm a long time fan of Claypool, I used to play bass in an alterna-punk band in the early-mid 90's; that guy has mad skills.

There is only one word to describe this jazz video...Insane!

It has Charles Mingus playing acoustic double bass enjoying a cigar. Then, pianist, Don Pollock does things with a piano keyboard that are humanly, impossible to do in reality.

I've never heard Vic Wooten; but I'm a long time fan of Claypool, I used to play bass in an alterna-punk band in the early-mid 90's; that guy has mad skills.

I have to admit I was not a great bassist. I then was a Jazz Jungle (jazzy Drum and Bass) Dj for a few years, then progressive and deep house. Still have my turntables and mixer in the garage, all set up. Mix sometimes but have not played live since 2000.

I’ve got family in San Antonio and have visited a few times, loved it although we went both times in August when it was a wee bit hot and humid, lol. Time to fire up our next cigar. Gonna pair mine with an Alesmith Speedway Stout, probably my favorite stout. Cheers brother.
