BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

@Glassman Here's the Epiphone LP 100. This one's mine. All the hardware was rusted but I was able to restore the bridge, saddle, and pickups. ( to the gearheads: they are the origional Epi 650/700t - or 700 750 ?)
Knobs were missing, pots were shot, plastic was in terrible condition, screws were rusted, fretboard was black with filth. Really. The initial fret cleaning was with solvent and a scraper. Chrome was pitted. Finish was in distress. At the 12:00 position you may see a little darker red color around the edge. That's a body repair. The section was initially completely broken off the guitar, and the ripped off section was covered with duct tape.
Some like the "worn" look but this was seriously damaged, neglected and rediculous. I have a picture somewhere of this guitar before I started. But I paid $10 for it, so maybe that might help you get an idea ......
I saved the "pulloff " parts including the rusty screws in case of resell. But that's only going to happen over my dead body. Too much blood sweat and tears dragging this back out of hell.

The Gibson Les Paul Corvette Custom Shop is an uncatalogued color and the Gibson Webslinger 1 Jr. is signed by the late, great Stan Lee in an edition of 75 guitars. It is 3 of 75. I like your pinkies. I have two more closets full to go through. I am a hoarder I guess. The PRS pair below were selected by me from about 100 guitars at the PRS factory. I have known Paul since the 80s.
Impressive. My collection story is a little different. I have a couple Strats but I usually fall in love with wrecks and repair them or do my own thing. I also have some of the old '69-72 Teisco/Sears Silvertone/Kay etc.

Below was actually from the seller's ad and I was imposing the lower two over it. But the body arrived in such good shape, no chips, nice and heavy, slightly used, I couldn't cut it up.
So I built it back up. With better parts. So that's how the top pink one got here.
So now, I am currently cutting a body by hand for the Eastwood style ( lower right ) out of lumber from an upright piano that a serial search says was actually featured in the 1923 World's Fair.
