So, is this part of a rotation? Or, is this a permanent thing?
In WA the Boeing crews are mandated to rotate shifts about every quarter. Some love it, others hate it.
We swap every four months. It works out well. About the time you get tired of seeing the bosses all the time & dealing with the daytime BS like directing school traffic, public relations stuff, ID theft reports, harassment reports, civil reports, etc., etc., you get to go to nights & have some fun at work. Then by the time you get tired of dealing with drunks & crackheads, fights, sleeping through your off days, being up all night bored when your off & everyone is asleep, etc., etc., you get to go back to a more normal day shift schedule. If I had to work one or the other permanently I’d go work somewhere else.

The wife used to work the graveyard shift for the same reasons you mentioned. She also enjoyed the pay bump.
I'm a morning person. When I bounced in college I hated getting off work when the sun was just coming up (yuk!). Glad those days are over.

Sounds like someone has a heavy passion for the tastes of Va, Per and VaPer.
Those are all real tasty baccies... I also carry the same addiction.
Yeah, that's where I'm headed lately. Started out loving the mild and medium English, but been preferring the va/per lately. I think the Escudo did it to me.
That Mac Baren Scottish is pretty damn good too.
And I've really enjoyed some of the Burleys.

Hell, I think I love it all!

Well, except for the Balkans and orientals. :sour::yuck:
