Me and my wofe are very excited about doing this. I purchased this end piece from a store in Houston called "Bare Furniture" furniture that is unfinished. Here are a couple of pictures of it. Im taking one of the doors off our entertainment center and taking to the store so they can match the stain of it. All I did today was remove all the doors, shelves, backing piece and all other hardware. Bare skeleton now.

What Im having trouble deciding on is if I should use 1/4 or 3/8 thick Spanish Cedar to line the inside of it. I am first going to line it with 4 mil plastic before I add the Cedar but was wondering which in y'alls opinion is better or does it matter?

id probly go with th 1/4 inch. i dont have a home made humi or coolidor but i would think that would be plenty. 3/8 aint that much thicker and with the thinner wood, youll have that much more room for cigars....

Thicker is better, More humidity control, and more strenght too.
Where did you get your cedar? I need to find some to buy?

Looks like a nice project to start on  Have you been working on this for 4 years or are your camera dates out of whack?

Not sure if you would really see a difference in RH with such a small difference in thickness

kenny check this place out for your cedar, it is were I bought mine, and the prices are in canadian funds so it is cheaper than you think!

keep checking the package section towards the bottom of the page, I found a 10sq ft. package for my coolidor, ended up costing me like $36 shipped.

I have a few other sites bookmarked if you want to look at other sites, just let me know.

Looks like a great project!

I'm going to guess his camera dates are out of whack due to changing the batteries
