I'm good for 55 pushups straight...maybe 60 on a good day.
My form is getting... uh... rounder.I'm down to 4 pull ups as well, but my form is getting better, and hopefully reps will be starting to go up.
My little brother does sets of them. It’s pretty disturbing to watch actually. He’s my half brother so we have completely different builds and he’s younger by 13 years. Him being only only 5’4 his strength to weight ratio is something I could never hope to achieve...and he’s a personal trainer...and has been working for a few years to get where’s at. So yeah, it’s doable but you’ve gotta have the right build and really set up a program based on functional strength. I’ll stick with my 12oz curls.I really want to pull off a muscle-up, but I guess that's a long way off..
Read somewhere that it can take up to 2 years of training to achieve. Really hope it doesn't take that long...
Been working on increasing the pull ups also. Ill leave the muscle ups to the crossfit folks. I like how this guy breaks down and explains how to do exercises. Great advice on how to avoid injuries. He has a vid on muscle ups.I finally managed 5 pull ups today, though that last one was uuuuugly...

Hahaha, I don't think height is that much of an impeding factor. Just a lot of training needed to get fit enough and strong enough. My little brother does sets of them. Found his channel when I got back in the gym. Sucks getting old. To many years in the factory and playing softball. He has helped me figure out how to minamize the aches but adjusting how I lift.Hahaha, I don't think height is that much of an impeding factor. Dude, you just captured a bent pull up bar, a mountain, a silhouette target, and either a goat or a really ugly dog all in the same pic. That might be the most hardcore picture I've ever seen on BOTLI'm thinking I'm gonna need a sturdier bar...

I'm more interested in what you're shooting at the target TBH.Dude, you just captured a bent pull up bar, a mountain, a silhouette target, and either a goat or a really ugly dog all in the same pic. That might be the most hardcore picture I've ever seen on BOTL
There are so many out there. Pushups themselves are actually great for this. While I’m thinking of it, does anyone have any good recommendations for an an/core exercise I can do that’s not planking? I was doing that for a while but my lower back started killing me. I was making sure my body was straight not bent, etc.
I don’t want a six pack, I just want to be stronger and have better posture.
I can stick to those then. That works for me.There are so many out there. Pushups themselves are actually great for this.
Most people dont realize how good for you overall simple pushups really are. And then once you're in a good routine - you can modify them as well.I can stick to those then. That works for me.
Look into a TRX setup. While you don't necessarily have to do specific core exercises, (everything on trx works core strength), it does a great job with pikes and a number of different core specific exercises if that's what you want. Those big exercise balls offer a lot of options, as your core is engaged to maintain body control and balance. While I’m thinking of it, does anyone have any good recommendations for an an/core exercise I can do that’s not planking?
