Absolutely! More free time and new hobbies! More time being a dad. That's great Tyler. Has your life changed any over those 2 years?
Congratulations! That’s really awesome. Although, once you start to get a little time under your belt you start to realize that bad shit still happens in sobriety… like when you watch the Cardinals smash the Braves lol.Today is 2 years bros!!!!!! Woo hoo!!!!

That's awesome. Thank you for carrying the message and being a good example of "How it Works" and The Big Book. Coming from where you were 28 years ago to where you are today is truly a miracle and living proof that "It works if you work it" and being willing to go to any length.Well, fellas, guess what?! Not only was November 2nd the third anniversary of the Cleveland Miracle, but it was also the day I celebrated 28 years of continuous sobriety! Can you believe that shit? Not one day off, no cheat days, no out of town sneaks, everyday all day for 28 years. This year was pretty special: being back home with my old Home Group members, starting to the Sober Stogies Group (we meet twice a week now! Thursday evenings just started), having the freedom to get to more meetings now that the boy has started kindergarten. Practicing that gratitude-is-action-word mentality gets me out of my default mode sometimes. If I'm grateful I gotta show it! Thanks for being a part of my sobriety!

We will do well in remembering that we are sober only by the grace of God and any success we may be having is far more his success than ours. (12x12 page 92 paraphrased from memory)

Hey, you should join us in our weekly online meeting/herf!Wow, am I glad to find this thread. I am a SOTL who is in recovery. My clean date is 1/1/19 (made some bad decisions at the end of last year while dealing with depressing family issues). I have found that giving back to others in recovery is the best way to keep me in a healthy place. I volunteer at a local recovery community center and I have recently taken the Recovery Coach Academy. I am hoping to go into the field in the near future.
Wednesday will be my first ever true year in recovery and I am looking forward to celebrating at my home group. I know I will reach it as I am now a member of the No Matter What club. My fellow recoverees have shown me there's never any legitimate reason to pick up.
Anyhow, it's very cool to see other siblings of the leaf in recovery. Keep doing the next right thing.
Holy guacamole!Seeing this thread pop up in my feed reminds me that I have 30 years clean this month. I barely think about it anymore but still there are moments.
That's fantastic! Congratulations!Seeing this thread pop up in my feed reminds me that I have 30 years clean this month. I barely think about it anymore but still there are moments.
That is awesome AK. Congratulation!Seeing this thread pop up in my feed reminds me that I have 30 years clean this month. I barely think about it anymore but still there are moments.
That's awesome Sneakers! It sounds like you are very active in your recovery. I like the sound of the No Matter What Club. No matter what happens, there is nothing picking up a drink will fix. It's only an excuse to sabatoge our lives and the lives of those we love. There is a solution, but picking up a drink isn't it.Wow, am I glad to find this thread. I am a SOTL who is in recovery.
