Today's Bourbon

Went to a couple liquor stores today seeing what was new and interesting.

My local place has a couple bottles of the much-touted McKenna 10 year single barrel. At %69, it was a hard pass.
They now stock several more good ones, but nothing made me pull the trigger.

Next I went to the closest Binny's, lots of interesting stuff there.

WhistlePig 10 Year Single Barrel Cask Strength Rye really intrigues me. $89

High West Double Rye Barrel Select looked interesting until I saw it imparts vermouth notes...not my thing. $39

Knob Creek Cask Strength Rye Whiskey $49

All 2019 releases of Booker's at $79

3 versions of Kentucky Owl including 10 year and 11 year. $119-189

New Rif SB, which I passed on based on Paul's tasting notes.

Lots of other things, those are just what come right to mind.

Anyone who has any thoughts on any of these, they would be most appreciated.

Legitimately took my first sip. Added some water tonight. Not much but just a touch. Still a warm pour but the flavor is much better from what I can tell. Not as much of the mint there but it has opened up far more than last night.
