No doubt. That along with Rowan’s, Noah’s, 4R Sb, and McKenna I just don’t want to be without. A few others as well...As I've gravitated to the higher proof bourbons, I thought I might mot replace some of my others when I finished a bottle. I told my GF last week that when my bottle of Eagle Rare (with one pour left) was empty, I probably wouldn't replace it. Then I drank the last pour (hadn't had it in quite a while). I forgot how delicious it is. So today....
I have picked up the bottle of Noah's Mill a dozen dozen times at the stores, but have yet to buy (or even try) it. One of these days....No doubt. That along with Rowan’s, Noah’s, 4R Sb, and McKenna I just don’t want to be without. A few others as well...
Basically like a higher proof Rowan’s. I think Rowan’s is a tad more refined, but I’ll reach for Noah’s if I’m feeling the higher proof.I have picked up the bottle of Noah's Mill a dozen dozen times at the stores, but have yet to buy (or even try) it. One of these days....
Doesn't help, Jeremy, as I've never had Rowan's either.Basically like a higher proof Rowan’s. I think Rowan’s is a tad more refined, but I’ll reach for Noah’s if I’m feeling the higher proof.
It has a unique flavor to it. I call it raisin or fig. I think it is a great for the price, the abv, and uniqueness.I have picked up the bottle of Noah's Mill a dozen dozen times at the stores, but have yet to buy (or even try) it. One of these days....
If you could only buy 1 New Riff which would it be from the two pictured?Last night was a New Riff night:
From the two pictured, definitely the SiB Rye. The rub is, different single barrels can be different as you know. But I like the BiB bourbon, and hope to try the BiB Rye next.If you could only buy 1 New Riff which would it be from the two pictured?
Andrew, have you tried the 1920?
Yeah, it's fantastic as well. I still need to grab a bottle of the other 2 in their whiskey row line though.Andrew, have you tried the 1920?
So have you had a chance to do a side by side of the Old Forester Rye vs Rittenhouse? I recently finished my Rittenhouse and still am decided on not replacing it, as I already have its spot filled with OF for my readily available inexpensive pour. I am however searching for a mid-bottle Rye option as my Willett Family Estate Cask Strength is definitely top shelf, and one I don’t dip into too often. It’s only sold near me twice a year at $50.challenge accepted! I will do a side by side to confirm your findings
How did you like the Old Ezra 7 Barrel Strength? I definitely plan on replacing my bottle. It’s not as intense or nuanced as Booker’s or ECBP but it is better then anything else in its price range ($42) that is of a higher proof.@Palama , Happy Retirement! How is that 18 proof Blanton's? Wow!
Cracked two new bottles myself last night, no good reason, I've been retired over 3 years.
