Are shipments taking extra long nowadays?

Just received a shipment Monday that left the (Australian) vendor on April 9th

Still waiting on the following.

#1 - left vendor (Aus) on 4/15
#2 - left vendor (Aus) on 4/21
#3 - Swiss vendor / Left Hungary 4/22
#4 - left vendor (Aus) on 4/28

The order coming from Hungary hit US customs (Chicago) on 5/7. It has been sitting there ever since.

The other 3 orders have not hit the US yet.

Received an e-mail from one of the bigger vendors today. Basically said if you can't wait well in excess of 30 days for shipping that you should delay your ordering until next month or later.

I tend to order less in the summer just due to the added heat the cigars are subjected to. This just gives me a second reason to delay most overseas shipments.

A month used to be very normal. We got spoiled over the last few years with the 5-10 day arrival times!

Cigars are super resilient, the conditions they are produced and stored in can be pretty rough. I'd let them reacclimate to your RH for a few weeks, but they should be fine.

Only one left to go now. The vendor contacted me yesterday via email to let me know they are working with Aussie Post to get it moving.

I still have one out there from late April. I received the same email from the vendor saying they are working on it. Luckily it was my least expensive order.
